Professor Ambrose Oroboh UCHENUNU holds a B.A. in Theatre Arts, University of Calabar, M.A. Theatre Arts, University of Ibadan in Nigeria; M.A. and Ph.D in Film Studies at the University of Nottingham, and Diplomas in Film and Television Productions, and City & Guilds Teacher Training at New College Nottingham, in the United Kingdom. He teaches film and electronic media at the University of Benin, Benin City. He has published four essays on environmental pollution, in media journals, and shot two documentary movies on Ugborodo Community, and Sapele: the Lost Jewel of the Niger Delta, which dealt with environmental pollution of the oil communities in the Niger Delta. He also Acted in Our Destiny, a Nollywood feature. He is experienced at business start-up jobs as well as new academic departments. He was the first Head of the Department of Mass Communication at the University of Benin, Benin City, Edo State; Head of Department of Mass Communication during Sabbatical at Edwin Clark University Kiagbodo, First Head of Department of Mass Communication Western Delta University, Oghara Delta State in Nigeria; He has attended academic conferences spanning Nigeria, the United States, the United Kingdom, Ghana and Cameroon. He has been a member of college of screener for Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) for twelve years in a row.
